The Altar Servers Ministry is a special calling for children and youth to serve at the altar of God during Holy Mass and other liturgical celebrations. It is a beautiful opportunity to grow in faith, discipline, and reverence while playing a vital role in the Church’s worship.
Serving at the altar is not just a task—it is a form of prayer and a joyful offering of one’s time and heart to God. Altar servers assist the priest and deacon, lead the congregation in worship through example, and help maintain the sacredness and order of the liturgy.
With each Mass they serve, altar servers grow in their understanding of the Church, in their spiritual life, and in their identity as young disciples of Christ.
Altar servers contribute to the beauty and order of the liturgy through meaningful service, prayerful presence, and a heart open to Christ.
This ministry offers young people a unique opportunity to serve at the heart of the Church’s liturgy, where faith, discipline, and devotion come together in meaningful and formative ways.

Because the altar is the most sacred space in the Church, and serving there draws us closer to Christ’s sacrifice and love.
It teaches reverence, humility, and attentiveness—qualities that help young people grow in holiness and service.
Their visible role in the liturgy inspires the congregation, especially other youth, to take part in the life of the Church.
Altar serving deepens love for the Mass and nurtures vocations to priesthood, religious life, and lay leadership.
Through shared experiences, mentoring, and prayer, altar servers form a family that serves Christ together.
